Private urgent care center
Be seen within minutes, not hours
Unlike busy emergency departments where you might wait a long time, at VisitHealth, we do our best to see you within minutes. We’re private, which means there’s a fee—but in return, you’ll receive prompt, personalized attention and access to a wider range of diagnostic tests than you typically would in a standard GP surgery.
Specialist consultations and diagnostic tests on-site
With everything in one place, you won’t be sent all over town for tests or follow-up:
- GPs and Urgent Care Doctors with A&E backgrounds
- Radiology on-site including X-rays, MRI, and ultrasound
- Specialist referrals and on-site appointments (orthopedics, cardiology, and more)
- In-house nursing team to assist with wound care, suturing, and dressings
Highly skilled A&E-trained team
When we say our urgent care doctors and nurses come from an A&E (Accident & Emergency) background, it means they’re used to fast-paced, high-level emergencies. They know how to spot critical issues, stabilize patients, and decide if a person needs hospital-level care. Even though we’re not an emergency department, having that level of expertise on-site ensures that if your situation requires a referral or transfer, we’ll recognize that quickly and help you get exactly where you need to be.

How we speed things up
Initial contact
Whether you call us or book online, you’ll give us a bit of information about your symptoms and concerns.
Talk to a nurse about your condition during triage
One of our nurses will ask you detailed questions. This step helps us decide how soon you need care—and if our clinic is the best place for you. If triage confirms we can help, we’ll book you for a same-day appointment.
On-site assessment
When you arrive, we’ll do a quick check of your vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, etc.) to get a full picture of your health.
Doctor consultation
You’ll meet with one of our doctors for a thorough examination. They might listen to your lungs, check a sore throat, assess a sprain, or do any other necessary physical checks.
Tests and results
If you need blood tests or a scan (X-ray, ultrasound, MRI), we can often handle it right away. Our on-site radiology department speeds up diagnosis immensely.
Treatment and follow-up
We’ll discuss the best treatment plan with you, whether it’s medication, a cast, some stitches, or even a referral to a specialist. If you need ongoing care, we’ll stay in touch and make sure you have all your results.
Insurance: we’ve got you covered
We partnered with Bupa, Vitality, WPA and Healix. We also work with other major international insurance companies.

When to choose urgent care vs. A&E?
- Urgent Care at VisitHealth is perfect for injuries, minor fractures, fevers, vomiting, throat or ear infections, dehydration, and other non-life-threatening issues that still require immediate attention.
- A&E (Accident & Emergency) is necessary if you experience severe chest pain, uncontrollable bleeding, trouble breathing, or any life-threatening event.
If you’re unsure, give us a call. We’ll do a quick triage to guide you to the safest option.
Same-day x-ray scans
X-ray (XR) is a widely used, non-invasive diagnostic tool, primarily for detecting issues such as bone fractures and lung infections. No special preparation is required for most X-ray exams, and the process is quick and efficient.
At VisitHealth, X-ray scans can be done both in the clinic or at home, and they’re available for people of all ages, from children to the elderly.
Same-day ultrasound appointments, results within 24 hours
Ultrasound is one of the safest and most straightforward methods of medical imaging. It uses sound waves that reflect differently depending on the density of the tissue, allowing us to examine soft tissues but not bones. Ultrasound is ideal for looking at the structure, density, and size of internal organs.
At VisitHealth, Ultrasounds can be done both in the clinic or at home, and they’re available for people of all ages, from children to the elderly.
If you have a pressing health concern and want to avoid NHS queues, VisitHealth’s specialists are available immediately to put your mind at rest or treat you to the highest clinical standard. If you need referring for more tests or specialities, our specialists are on standby on-site and on-call, seven days a week, with the very latest diagnostic technology and blood work for instant and rapid results, interpretation and clinical decision making.
At VisitHealth, we provide urgent care that you can access without an appointment from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. You can walk in with any health concern, except for life-threatening emergencies. If your condition requires immediate hospitalisation or intensive care, we will help organise your transfer to either a private hospital or an NHS facility, depending on your preferences and circumstances. We can even arrange private ambulance transport if necessary.
