Booking your scan

Same-day or next-day appointments are usually available. You can choose to split your full body scan across two days, if preferred. Some people find this more comfortable — for example, fitting it in after work without needing to take a day off.

Is this scan right for me?

A full-body scan is for people who want early disease detection, have a family history of serious illness, or seek a general health check without any symptoms. This scan is intended for preventive screening and peace of mind, not for diagnosing specific symptoms.

How effective is it?

Whole-body MRI can typically detect solid tumours larger than 1 cm. If results indicate a potential risk, further tests will always be needed to confirm a diagnosis.

Do I need a referral?

Self-referral

No referral is necessary. You can book an MRI scan at your convenience.

If you don’t have a doctor’s referral, we’ll arrange a brief consultation with our in-house doctor before the scan. This ensures that the correct type of scan is selected for you.

Insurance-funded

We recommend confirming this directly with your insurer. However, as a general rule, full-body MRI scans are considered preventive screening.

Most private insurance policies do not cover the cost of such scans.

How do I prepare for the scan?

For a full-body MRI scan, minimal preparation is needed. Wear metal-free clothing, remove all metal items such as jewellery, and inform the clinic about any implants.
